Contingency Planning

The foundation of all improvisation, paradoxically and coincidentally, is contingency planning or situational preparedness, based off of a previously practiced script. It is essentially the same diagonal concept to necessity is the mother of all invention. It prepares the mind to work in a way that is relevant to the situation at hand, or that you may one day face. Think of it as a sort of script for role playing, with a solid core that branches out into multiple improvisational techniques and scoring of how well you did is based on the quality of improvised material produced.
